Open Range is a mix of old western style, southern rock, and a whole lot of "outlaw country". These guys come from all walks of life and they are true cowboys, outlaws and rednecks. The music that they play is original, powerful, and bold. It doesn't compare to anything out there right now. They have paid their dues in Nashville, playing in clubs such as Tootsies Orchid Lounge, The Broken Spoke, and the world famous Nashville Palace. Open Range is a forceful band whos music represents a sense of freedom. No boundries, No barbed wire....No fences....Just Open Range.
David Kane was born and raised in the West, from Arizona to Oregon and places in between.Coming from a musical family,his father was his first real inspiration and influence. Others included Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and of course, Merle Haggard.
Life has never been easy and has usually been uphill. However, it has been a blessing in disguise. For this life he has lived can be heard and felt in the music that he makes. Nothing about David Kane can be compared to anything mainstream nor can his music be categorized. It touches people from all walks of life...in this way as well as others David Kane is a bit like Johnny Cash without emulating or imitating him in any way. David Kane is one of a kind...not cut from a mold, but chiseled by his life experiences.....David lives in Nashville, but spends alot of time in Arizona and New Mexico writing songs, exploring ghost towns & hangin out in Tombstone, Sedona, The Red Rock Country of Arizona,and Utah. Better known as John Wayne country
He stands for what He believes in and its heard in his music...His music is genuine....and as real as it gets...David Kane now resides in Albuquerque New Mexico and can be seen throughout the Southwest.
Michele Lee is a singer and entertainer that has been with David Kane and Open Range for over 3 years.
She has done everything from Radio commercial voice overs for Clear channel and Infinity broadcasting to demo production in Nashville. She is a great asset to Open Range and a nice touch to the high energy show that they put on.
She is also the backbone to Open Range that makes it all possible.
